Welcome to the Iron Corner by SABM, your trusted clinical resource for understanding and managing iron deficiency and iron therapy.
Iron deficiency remains the most common and often under-recognized cause of anemia across all patient populations. Whether encountered in chronic illness, perioperative care, or specific conditions like heart failure and heavy menstrual bleeding, untreated iron deficiency can delay recovery, reduce quality of life, and increase healthcare costs.
Iron Corner was created by SABM to provide clinicians with:
- Evidence-based guidance on diagnosing and treating iron deficiency, including both oral and intravenous therapies
- Clinical tools and protocols for managing iron deficiency in complex settings such as CKD, oncology, and surgery
- Educational content to support best practices in patient blood management
