FALL 2018 WELCOME LETTER

Greetings to all! We are delighted to share this Fall Newsletter edition to coincide with the 2018 SABM Patient Blood Management Awareness Week.

As we wind down the year, as anticipated, our Newsletter content is “all things Annual Meeting”. For those of you who attended, review and remember the exciting events, excellent educational sessions, interactive workshops, and outstanding exhibits. For those unable to join us in New York, (we missed you!), the Newsletter Team hopes you will find educational highlights, important news, awards, and announcements that will make you feel as if you were there. Utilize any and all the information/tools to grow and continue to invigorate your program’s mission.

The Annual Meeting was a banner year, establishing, once again, that SABM continues to flourish in membership and outreach, maintaining its position as the preeminent society for Patient Blood Management. Heartfelt thanks to our members, hospital affiliates, sponsors, and industry partners. We look forward to 2019 and our future shared endeavors.

We hope your Patient Blood Management Awareness Week promotes your local-regional blood management program and mark your calendar for the 2019 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Sept. 18th-21st.

Best,

Carolyn Burns, MD, Editor
